Bio:

Phaedrus is the stage-name of Johan de Reybekill (born 1984), a Danish-based artist signed on phloq, a label he is the co-creater of.
Beginning as a beat orientated electronic music producer in his hay day, he was quickly drawn to a more abstract and experimenting sound art. Exploring electronic circuits- and acoustic-feedback, field-recording and circuit-bending, he began to create elaborate sound canvases and abstract glitches and noise drones.
Discovering the program max/msp within the first year on Danish Institute for Electronic Music (DIEM), where he studied Electronic Composition (2011-2016), he took to programming his own digital software for soundsculpturing, improvising and composing. His work take form in concerts, records, and sound-installations.

Today phaedrus has released music on digital, cassette-tape and vinyl. He collaborated with renowned Danish artists, and played live concerts, on big and small venues and festivals in Denmark, Sweden and Germany. In 2016 he made his first large soundinstallation: Solo-dome.

With his experience in the field of both rhythmic and especially non-rhythmic music, he works as label manager for phloq and soundsculpure-artist and composer of drone/texture/ambient-based electronic music.
